What to expect during every step of the hiring journey.

The hiring process can seem long and mysterious. What should you include in your job application? is your resume ready? How many interviews should you expect to participate in? and finally, how can you know when you’re approaching the end of the process?

We want you to be informed every step of the way and focus on what matters most - a successful new hire experience.

From the time you apply for a job until the time you accept a job offer, you will go through a series of steps as you progress through the hiring process. Below is a step-by-step process guising you each step of our hiring process.

STEP 1

YOUR RESUME

We require a resume in addition to a job application. When you submit your resume with your job application, it is important that your resume is well-organized and polished.

You also want to be sure that your resume is a match for the job you are applying for. Personalize your resume for every job application and make sure you are uploading a PDF to ensure printing and viewing capabilities.

STEP 2

THE JOB APPLICATION

You can apply for jobs online, via email, or in person. No matter what job you are applying for, be sure to complete all fields when filling out the application. If you apply by email, put your name and the job title in the subject line and attach your resume.

The online job application process has made it significantly easier to apply for any available positions. Be sure to upload your resume.

STEP 3

EMPLOYMENT TESTS

We use pre-employment tests and other selection procedures to screen our applicants for hire. The types of tests and selection procedures utilized include medical examinations and background checks.

Some tests are conducted as part of the job application process, and others will take place further along in the hiring process, after the interview and prior to a job offer.

NEW HIRE TIP No.1 | STAND OUT WITH YOUR RESUME

Readying your resume for the application process means making sure it's up-to-date and optimized for the job you are applying to. First, keeping it up-to-date means adding your most recent education, experience and skills. In a chronological resume, most recent education and experience should be listed first in each section.

STEP 4

BACKGROUND CHECK

At some point, we will conduct background and reference checks. Be sure the references on your resume are people who will speak well of you, and their contact information is current. We may also verify your education information and any other facts you have supplied about yourself.
Our hiring manager is looking for consistency between how you present yourself online and in interviews.

STEP 5

INTERVIEW PROCESS

If you get an interview request, this means the hiring manager has selected you as one of the quality candidates for the position. You will be invited to talk to a recruiter, hiring manager, or employer on the phone or in person (or both). We may conduct several interviews prior to offering a written job offer. Some interviews are one-on-one, while others may include the department directors or managers.

STEP 6

THE JOB OFFER

When you receive a written job offer, you're close to the end of our hiring process. However, you don't need to accept the job, at least right away, if you have any questions give us a call and we will assist you with any questions.
It's important to take the time to evaluate the offer carefully, so you are making an educated decision when accepting the offer.

NEW HIRE TIP No.2 | MAKE IT A GREAT INTERVIEW

There are a number of things that you can do to prepare yourself to have a great job interview.

  • Researching the job beforehand will allow you to show the interviewer that you take this opportunity seriously.
  • It’s important to dress professionally for a job interview, no matter what job you’re applying for.
  • A job interview may be very brief or lengthy, so don’t schedule anything essential for the hour after the interview.
  • You should have your resume and a pen as well as a government ID and contact information for any references.

STEP 7

NEW HIRE PAPERWORK

Once you have accepted a job offer, it's time for the new hire paperwork you'll need to complete to get on the payroll, which may include eligibility to work forms, tax withholding forms, and company-specific paperwork.

We will contact you and let you know what documents you'll need to provide, so that you can have your materials ready to go.

STEP 8

ONBOARDING

You will be asked to attend our onboarding session which will welcome you to our hospital and lay the groundwork for a successful and exciting start. Onboarding will give you a clear understanding of resources available to you, safety protocols, corporate processes, and you will have an opportunity to meet with Raji Kumar - CEO , Becky Speight - CFO and other leadership members.

STEP 9

YOUR SUCCESS STORY

Celebrate and share your success story by completing our Candidate Experience Survey. We aim for all of our new hires to have an overall positive experience during the hiring process. Your feedback is important to us, plus it will help other candidates in their hiring journey.
